• America is at a crossroads. While many are attempting to define the next 50 years, the stories we are given are based in fear; the end of something. The end of life as we know it, the end of life on earth, the end of democracy, the end of self-determination and so on. End times stories abound! Futurists and academics are working to meet specific physical and economic goals like climate change and job losses due to AI. Yet people are rarely consulted about what they want personally, depriving social systems planners of this vital information. 
• Do you see a possibility of co-creating a multicultural and pluralistic society where our individuality and personal freedom is balanced with our responsibility for the community in which we live? If so, then functioning politics is possible.
• The American Future Project is one way you can imagine a better future for yourself. And together, we'll write the next chapter for the USA. Future generations will learn about our actions in American history.

• Hello. I'm so please to meet you here. I am a political mystic, change maker, coalition builder, writer, speaker and coach. Even those many roles are not the extent of my human capacity.  
• In 2003, I was meditating after yoga and saw a beautiful vision of our future political system and culture, writ large. The blurry visuals of happy people and functioning politics as democracy was bathed in a warm, golden light. It reminded me of “the golden hour” that filmmakers refer to. And the feelings that I experienced were of contentment, generosity, pride and service to others. I wish I could capture the feeling in a bottle and share it with you today. But that moment is why we are here today. In that moment, I chose to work towards that vision and enact a vision of healthy self-governance, the likes of which we have yet to experience.
• I am drawn to transformative stories and experiences like bears are drawn to honey. Whenever I feel my faith waning, I turn to people like you. I turn to places where I feel a sense of safety and belonging, to self-care and to cinema therapy. I want our story to be the cinema therapy of future generations. A miraculous story where we turn our despair and anger into wonder, gratitude and connection. May our story lift all of us and restore our souls, deepening the neural pathways towards human and global transformation.
• I am a transformation partner who works on multiple levels; individual, interpersonal and systemic. AmericanFuture.us is a project for everyday Americans across the US to catalyze their imagination for the future they want. My previous work includes co-founding Living Room Conversations, National Week of Conversation and Bridge Alliance.
